I hate this feeling. Christmas is two days away and I don't feel the holiday spirit at all. Does this mean I'm growing up? If so, I hate it. I want to experience the giddiness that I felt as a child. Yes, I know what Christmas is about. I just miss that feeling of excitement that used to come with Christmas. This year has just been weird. The things that were supposed to be the most exciting moments turned out to be disappointments, and the average days hanging out with friends turned out to be the most entertaining. I don't like getting old.

We've had two days off of school because of school. On finals week. Of which I have a calculus one to take. Yeah. It sucks. I have a 98 in there with the extra 5 points but I feel like that final is going to bring me down a lotttt. On the bright side, 2.5 days left of school until Christmas break!

Powell is officially 6-0, hopefully 7-0 tonight! (Knock on wood) We are currently 1st or 2nd in the state. Pretty awesome. Anyways, here are some pictures from the Karns game last week. I found our SLR(ish) camera and took it to the game to test out flash and depth of field. Some of them turned out pretty awesome. :)

A couple nights ago I was changing the skin on this blog and I had an idea: a blog with dailyish devotionals with a younger audience as the focus. Of course being the slacker I am I would need someone to help me, and who better than my dear friend Lisa. Don't accidentally hit "dismiss" instead of "snooze." I had to practically run to class. I really don't know why I don't have the beastlist calves ever because of my daily power walking to class. Speaking of school, I finally applied for a few colleges. I still need to have my transcripts sent and apply for scholarships. That's going to be the "fun" part. Nooooot. Deciding my future is seriously stressing me out. I get to where I can't breathe properly. And I'm sure this lack of sleep isn't helping. Which is what I should be doing at the moment. And I will be sleeping with a pile of clothes on my bed because I don't feel like putting them up :)

One of the best things about the iPod touch is the apps. The possibilities are virtually endless! In fact, I'm writing this from it right now from an app called BlogBooster. There are some amazing games also...like Diner Dash! That's been one of my favorites forever! And it's surprisingly easy to type on, unlike my phone. It even has auto spell correct which is quite handy. The only downfall I have with it is that you have to be in wifi to have Internet...but I'm not complaining. It is seriously a mini computer. Oh it would also be nice to have a built in microphone and camera...however it's rumored that those features will be on the newest version.

I can't believe school will be starting back in less than a week! And I'll be a senior! I never thought this year would come. It's always been embedded in my head, 2011. But it never seemed real. And here it is. The year. The best year of your life. Friday night football games. Domination during spirit week. Getting ready for college. Leaving school for senior project. Prom. Graduation. And it's finally here. I want it to go by slow, but I know I'll blink and it'll be over. And then we'll enter the real world.

Once again, I have not updated this thing in forever. Well, it's been like over a month. Since last post I have: been to the beach, turned 17, got a (used) laptop and iPod Touch, and been weird with friends haha. School starts in a little over a week (bleck) but on the bright side SENIOR YEAR BABY!

Yayyyy!! The fun part's gettin closa and closa hahahaha. I love my ability to make awesome songs up on the spot. I've been tanning like crazy so I will be bronzed for the beach and also so I won't get burnt and look like a tomato. Although I did get a little burnt yesterday but when I woke up this morning I was black haha. Right now I'm listening to my iPod since I finally got around to charging it and putting new songs on it...I am suchhh a g. Fo sho. I feel really antsy right now and I'm not sure why. Oh so last night I had the weirdest dream ever that I was getting gang banged in my neighborhood. I seriously woke up at like 4 something freaked out. Anyways I feel like I should do something.

And I've decided that watching the Family Guy marathon on TBS is much better than studying for the tests. Ha. I'm going to fail. Big time. Oh I guess I said that in the last post. But it's true. So tomorrow me, Kara, Anna, and Courtney are going to Rothchilds to have a free lunch and hear a guy talk about yearbook stuff. I feel like it's gonna be boring but it's better than a pointless day of school haha. And I'm procrastinating more! Yay! Oh so on Saturday I opened up iTunes to add some more songs, and nothing was there. Nothing. So I spent forever getting all my songs back on there. Luckily, the songs and games and movies I had purchased were able to be transferred from my iPod back to iTunes...so the hard part was going through all my files and seeing which ones were still lost. It was really weird and I have no clue why it happened...ugh. Whatever. It's all better now :)

So. Nothing's new in life. Except that I'm getting more stressed as it gets closer to May 6th and 7th. Helloooo AP tests. Ugh. I'm going to miserably FAILLL! Why do I even sign up for AP classes knowing that I'm going to get overly stressed and get a B when I could take CP, pass with flying colors, and have the same GPA. Not to mention paying $86 for each test. Honestly, I'm not sure I even care anymore. It's not very good. But I've decided not caring saves a lot of stress. And could prevent a heart attack? Whatever. Oh and Mrs. KP had her baby. Yay! But the downside is that she won't be at school to teach us. FML. I've been saying FML a lot lately lol. On the bright side, 37 days til schools out...I think and 57 days til the beach! WHOO! This year's beach trip will definitely be interesting though haha. That is ferrr sureee.

Wel l here I am in concert choir boreder than crap.I know it's been a while since I've last updated but oh well. My life has been school and more school and more school. APUSH is really stressing me out as it was and yesterday she decides to stop taking easy grades. FML. Good news:spring break is in a week :D yayy!! Sooo exciting. I finally have unlimited internet on my phone so I can further my Facebook addiction and quench my boredom. Aghh. So so so bored. My back hurts so bad. :( Oh even more exciting news is that the youth beach trip is on the calendars! Yay!! I'm so pumped. I feel like this year will be a good one :)

Don't "suck everyone else dry" of the spirit...get it yourself. The part that really spoke to me was "Is it holy?" It doesn't matter if it's right or wrong, but is it holy? It's really made me start to think about things...

Ok wow I haven't posted since school started. OMG PUKEE I am gagging. Sheww. I'm watching Tosh.0 and there's a huge zit being popped ewww nastyyy. Ok anyways, school is going ok. I almost have an A in english ughh. But I'm doing really well in my other classes :) Annual staff is fun but some people in there really get on my nerves because they don't do anything. Umm nothing's new in life. I have a trillion pics to put up though. I went to see Casting Crowns with Matt Redman and Starfield with Avenue One. They were great concerts. I needed to see Starfield though because they won't be a Resurrection this year :'(. Idk what to talk about lol. OMG I'm so excited Christmas is coming up! Yayyy!!! So before school started again, I had my 16th birthday party, and it was really fun! We rented a table at Skatetown and no one was there so it was like we rented the place out :D. It was also 80s themed although three people including me dressed up lol. I looked like such a dork haha.

Yay!!! I'm so excited about it! It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The guy was just like "turn right, turn right, turn right" lol. And my picture doesn't look like poo which is really good :D. So on my birthday me and mommy went to see "Public Enemies" and it was pretty good. I had a revelation while watching it...that I really like the Great Depression...well not the Great Depression but movies and books about it. "O Brother Where Art Thou" is my absolute favorite movie ever, and The Grapes of Wrath wasn't bad either.

In other news I GOT AN ACOUSTIC GUITAR!! I'm so excited lol. I've already learned some chords :D and oww my fingers hurt lol. It actually hurts to type. So I need a name for him. Yes, it is a boy. I checked. HAHA. But really I need a name. Suggestions please???

OMG I'm so excited! So anyways I'm bored so I decided I would blog haha. Well, after the youth trip I decided that The Office is my favorite show! I watched every episode online haha. I feel like such a geek with nothing better to do. Wow what a great show! If you've never seen it, you should watch it. It comes on at 10 on TBS on Tuesdays and 8:30 on NBC on Thursdays and the new season starts in September!

I've also discovered how funny Family Guy is haha. It makes my day haha. I'm pretty sure my favorite episode is the one where Quagmire fakes his death and there's and evil pots and pans robot and dinosaurs haha.

I have rediscovered rap. I used to listen to it all the time but then I quit but now I've started again lol. My music taste is very well rounded. I listen to pretty much everything lol. You should see my playlist. I have Foxy Tunes on my computer now and whenever I blog I can put in what I'm playing at that moment so just look at them to see how diverse my taste in music is. I have recently discovered two great bands called Owl City and nevershoutnever! OMG the music of both of them is great! Owl City is like electronicish and very mellow and calming. Nevershoutnever! is acoustic and has really sweet lyrics. Actually they both do lol.

Well, I guess I will start with the youth trip first. It was amazing. Very enlightening. I feel like I got closer with everyone in the youth. And the pranks were great haha. In the video when you see Kyle get wrapped with saran wrap, that was all my idea :D We were going to execute it but things changed...anyways it was great and if you haven't watched the video then you should...and there's a slide show at the end but I will post some of my favorite pictures.

Omg yay I am soooo excited! I will continue to post updates on Facebook and Twitter via texting. So I will definitely have pics and videos to post when I get back! Today I was looking through the guide on the TV and the Disney movie tonight is called "Catch That Kid"..I think..lol anyways it has Kristen Stewart (Bella from "Twilight") when she was 12! Omg wow. OH and Taylor Lautner (Jacob) was in "Sharkboy and Lavagirl" when he was younger! Wow. Lol. Hm. I'm random lol. I'm just wasting time actually. OMG I finished my book last night (Song of the Lioness by Tamora Pierce) and omg I so cried when Faithful died (the magic cat). Wow it was so sad. He was not supposed to die! I don't know if I liked the ending or not...

Yay I'm so excited! I've done all my laundry and now it's time to pack :P. So for Sarah's 17th birthday I'm making her a scrapbook with pictures of us since 2006 :O I was just entering 8th grade! It makes me feel so old! Yesterday I went to Target to get a purse...actually I got two because they were on sale for $10 each!
I got a this cross body bag, I've been wanting one for a while...I thought it would be good for the beach too

And I got this sea gull tote :D It's really sturdy and huge and will work as a great beach bag...and I also plan to use it as my book bag next school year :)

I am such a bag lady LOL. I also got these hot sunglasses! I don't know if you can see them well, but they are pink with black gingham :D

In other news, I changed the skin to a beachy theme and added some new music...plus some beachy music, like "Kokomo," "Surfin' USA," and "Under the Boardwalk." That song always reminds me of Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach :) I love that place! Well, I guess I'll be getting off now. I need to start packing!

Smokies Game

Friday was the Smokies game...it was quite great haha. We got there and got these inflatable hitty things haha. And a stress ball grenade hahaha. When we got our bags checked, the dude like picked up my purse and was feelin it up haha. I do have a lot of crap in there haha. I told Sarah he was profiling, and that was racist. I can't help my ghetto girl swag. HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAA. Anyways so after that we ate, and then we got some balloon turtles from a clown...which was really freaky...anyways the turtles were cute! Mine was named Speedy and Sarah's was Burtle the Turtle haha. So then the game started and we were like in the outfield on the first base side on row three...so foul balls came right for us lol. One time me and Sarah were like screaming and it came nowhere near us LOL. We got soft serve ice cream in these neeto cups that were shaped like baseball helments :) And then it was Fireworks Friday so we got to see some fireworks! But we were so close, the little ashes or whatever were like raining on us lol. It was crazyness.

So today I went swimming/tanning. I really need to get a tan before the beach so I don't get burnt lol. It's not good. Although yesterday I went to the pool at like 5 and laid out for like 20 mins and got a slight tan :D I think I'm going to work on it this week....

So it's Friday and this week just flew by. So tonight..or this evening rather, I am going with my youth group to a Smokies game with all you can eat food and jumpy things! Lol. I will most likely have pics to upload tonight or tomorrow or something :P. So as you can see, I changed the skin again. I am never going to be satisfied. LOL. This is actually temporary until next week because I'm going to change it to a beachy skin, because I'm going to the beach :P. So I just wanted to give a quick update...Oh and for some reason my tagboard isn't working on this skin...idk why..and I got a new music player! Smaller, and customizable color...I don't know why I didn't look for this earlier, because it looks much neater than my old one that I always had to squish lol...

EDIT-I took the tagboard off because it's useless in this skin and replaced it with archives :P

Hmm..I got a new skin...lol I change them like every day. Oh I guess I need to change my calendar cuz it's June now. Oo today's June 2. I wonder how many people got the Sims 3? I think I'm going to wait until the price goes down a bit and it gets combined with an expansion pack like I did with the Sims 2. OOO I got Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 the other day :)! I realllllly want to make Dollywood and Splash Country but I am really not that talented lol. It would take a billion years lol. My type of design is more HTML based lol. There is this lady on Youtube that has made one. I really wish she would put it up for download lol. That would be amazing :D. Oh so a couple days ago one of my old friends Katlyn found me on MySpace. Omg I haven't talked to her in FOREVERRR!! It was nice to catch up with one of my used to be BFFs lol. So I have been cleaning intensely the past few days. I've cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom...my next task is to clean out my old closet that is now my brother's closet that still has all my junk in it LOL. It's mostly like old toys and papers and stuff lol wow. Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I'm going to go start on that right now...after I fix my calendar and do some laundry :P

Yay! How exciting is this?! So I tried out for Singers last Thursday and I didn't even make callbacks :( I feel stupid and tone def. But hopefully Concert Choir will be put on my schedule next year and I will get better and then try out again next year and hopefully make it :). Last Saturday was our little mission trip thing and it was great lol. We did so much cleaning lol. Oh! We got a new puppy last weekend! He is a Belgan Melanwa and Pit Bull mix. He is so cute! I'll post pictures when I take some lol. Harley still doesn't really know what to think about him. He is about 5 months old :). Anyways I just wanted to post an update before I left for church. :)

So I like forget about this thing lol. I really should update it more often...Anyways, today was the dreaded AP test. OMG it was soooo awful. I'm pretty sure I'm getting a 1 on it haha like I'm not even kidding. Oh well. I can't change what happened in the past so I'm not going to worry about it. On the bright side, no more AP Euro! Yay! And the only thing I have to really worry about is chemistry and latin which I'm really not concerned with either because I have over 100 average in both lol. Oh and I tried out for the PHS Singers. I am extremely nervous about that. He said I did good but sight reading was awful lol. Callbacks will be posted Monday. I really don't think I'll make it because there is only one soprano graduating this year lol. Oh well, there's always next year...So tomorrow the youth is going to Wesley Woods to do a day mission trip. We will be cleaning and painting and whatever else they need us to do lol. Well I guess I'll go take a shower now because I have to get up super early lol..byee.

Yes, it's still late but whatever. I would like to say that Resurrection was wonderful. It is by far the best one yet. The speaker, Justin Lookadoo, was hilarious but had a great message. I would like to announce that this is the first time in a long time that I have not had homework :). Omg. I just didn't use a contraction on "have not" :\ TOO MUCH ENGLISH!! So I did promise a list. And on the subject of English:

Reasons Why I Hate English Class

Writing papers-Why in the world do we need to write essays and papers and crap like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah "to get into college" or "so you can write better in college." Okayy. What about after college? How many career fields actually require you to write an essay with an "introduction paragraph" and "thesis statements" and "body paragraphs" and a "concluding paragraph" and make sure you "restate your thesis." >:(

Correct grammar-Okay so I know correct grammar is a sign of intelligence or whatever, but come on. We live in Tennessee here. I do try to use correct grammar and spell things correctly and stuff, but must we be graded on it?

Timed writing-OMG. Writing papers is difficult enough as it is, but timed???? UGH. When things are timed I feel so rushed and I can't put my thoughts into words in a limited amount of time, so the paper ends up being crap.

A specific amount of words or pages or paragraps-When teachers force you to have a certain amount of information, I write a bunch of crap to fill up room. So really, teachers, you are just making me get a worse grade.

When teachers give you a bad grade but don't tell you why-Uhh excuse me, are you trying to make my grade lower? How do I learn if you don't correct my wrong doings??

Reading-What's with all this reading?? Haha jk. I love reading. Actually the books for AP Euro are more boring than the ones for English lol.

Basically the thing I hate most about English is writing. Somehow my papers actually sound somewhat good, but I still hate writing it. I know this wasn't a very exciting list but I had to start somewhere lol. Well, I just got a call from Sarah saying Evan was in a car accident and had to go in Lifestar. Poor Evan. This has just not been his year. :( Please pray for him.

I feel the need to rant about how the bus system needs to be more organized. I am very tired of having to stand up and almost kill myself when the bus driver slams on the breaks. Something needs to change. Like take one of the stops off or something >:(. Look at this picture. (Sorry it's blurry and not very good, I took it on my phone on a crowded bus.)
See all the people standing? The day before it was like that times 3. People were packed like sardines. UGHHH! Someone's going to get really hurt one day. A few weeks ago it was like this and there was a kid that actually flipped over in the aisleway when the driver slammed on the breaks. And I mean slammed. Not just abruptly stopped. I think one of those times was on purpose lol. ARGGGG! Sorry. I just needed to vent. And I know I said I would be posting lists, which I promise I will do soon. >:(((((((((((

Halloween??? And other updates...

I am so behind on this blogging thing lol. So I didn't go trick-or-treating or anything, but my church always has a trunk-or-treat. The kids come and get candy and we youth give out candy and walk around pretty much. So me and Sarah usually dress up. We were going to be gangsters or masquerade people. But we couldn't make it to the halloween place. So Jenny had this amazing idea of us dressing as Chris Kilby, our youth president. He's a huge UT fan so we decked out in Tennessee clothes and put stickers that said "Hello my name is Chris Kilby." Haha it was great. Although it was sad that people asked who we were. And he wasn't there. :(

so maybe he doesn't have long hair and throw up the peace sign...
On Halloween me and daddy went to Chili's and then came home and I played Guitar Hero for the first time since summer lol. I was a little out of practice :\ So nothing exciting has really happened....I discovered that I can write an essay and fill out an analysis page in two hours. Starting at 10:30 on Sunday night lol. I have to do a research paper, which I am not excited about :(. On the bright side I am done with Julius Caesar. :DD yayy!! So I guess that's it...I'm going to go enjoy the rest of my night with no homework. The next few blogs I'm going to post lists, of favorites, dislikes, annoyances, etc...So stay tuned :)

Camping...two weeks ago lol

Sorry I have been so lacking in my posting. I have just been dreading uploading all these pics. So I'm only going to post my most favorite from camping. So now let's get to the story of camping. We left on Wednesday at like 2:30. UGH! I wanted to leave at like 9. >:( Anyways. So we left and then had to go get groceries which I swear was another hour. So we got there and set up. And did camping stuff. Most of the time I just chilled and tried to read. But I kept getting distracted until I discovered that I could concentrate while listening to my iPod. I actually finished Tale of Two Cities, which is beyond exciting. I hung out with Emmy and Kaleigh too lol. Little kids are the best. My brother also had his birthday party there, even though his birthday was like 4 days ago lol. Umm..so heres some pics :)

So I have been putting off and putting off posting a blog about fall break so now that I have some free time I'm going to go ahead and do it and get it over with. But I'm gonna break it into two posts. This post is about the first half of fall break. On the first Friday, I went to Aunt Wanda's and Lauren was there and we chilled and went to Fields of the Woods and to Rib Country. Then on Sunday, we went to Emmy's 5th birthday party and the annual bonfire at the LaRue's. Then Monday I went to the dentist for a regular check-up which resulted in finding two cavaties, so I got those filled. Then Tuesday, I washed clothes and packed. Next post will be all about camping :P but here's some pics of the first half :)

Yayyy!! One more day til fall break! YESSSS!!!! I'm pretty dang ready for fall break :D. This week has been looooong with anticipation. Blehh. Still one more day.
After 11:32 my day will be home free :). I already know I will have no homework. Although I still have to finish the Algebra test and I think I have to write a mini-essay....Oh well. Hold on. Just got a text...

I drove on the interstate today :DDDD!! And I went through two drive-thrus. :DD This is a landmarking day! WHOOO!! I'm pretty excited. Now I can drive lots of places and not just around where I live. And I cleaned out the car so she's all nice and vaccumed and there's no junk in it. I need to wash her though...btw her name is Foxxy and she's a silver 2000 Toyota Camry :). Her name is Foxxy because she's from Fox Toyota and there's a little fox on the back of the car :P. I need something to hang off the rear-view mirror....Anyways I'm fixin to go eat. :)

Well I haven't posted in a while..and I have no homework and I'm bored but I don't wanna go to bed. So anyways I'm pretty excited that Relient K and tobyMac are coming to town on November 30th :DDD!! It is like two months away but still I am extited :).
OO so the other day I was needing some more shampoo so I went to Target and then mommy got different shampoo then I usually use and it's freaking amazing! It's Aussie. You know with the kangaroo? It makes my hair feel good :D.

Well it's been a while hasn't it? lol. Well school is great :|. Erggg. Homework and homework and more homework. How wonderous is that? So I guess I'll just start from today because I don't really feel like talking about the last few months. Although I did get my permit :D yayy.

So anyways I joined Beta Club which makes me happy. :D I've also decided that although I hate English I do love Mrs. McAffry. She's pretty dawgawn amazing lol. We even sweet tea tasted in there. So, nothin much has really happened. After the beach I had Bible School. Which is always fun :) and then went to Aunt Wandas. Oo i guess I need to change my calendar.... Anyways, umm oh Lauren drama started again. -shakes head- tut tut. So I'm gonna go update my wishlist now :)

Whooo 8 hours til i leave for the beach! Whoooooo! I don't know if I will be able to sleep tonight lol. Haha when I was zipping up one of my bags the zipper ripped haha. Yeah I had to sew it up. Puhh. I can't fit stuff in only two bags. Somehow I managed lol. I believe I'm all packed up except for makeup and pillow and blanket :D. eee I'm excited. Ok just wanted to post before I left. So I changed the skin again. And changed the music. I don't know why but I love that song :P. Last night I slept with no sheets because I took them off and was gonna wash them but never got around to it lol. I had a crazy dream I was in school and I forgot to do an assignment or something and I started freaking out and crying. It was weird. Yesterday I downloaded a bunch of songs and found out how to get YouTube videos onto my iPod here. Haha it's great. I put Charlie on there and yeah. It's great. I also bought O Brother Where Art Thou for my iPod. Haha I'll be watchin that on the ride to the beach. Man I love that movie. Well I'm gonna go eat now. Bye.

Kind of anyway. Oh well it's alright. It's just a base for the beach next week :). But the Lord knows I'm gonna be chillin tonight :(. So tomorrow's Memorial Day so we had a cook out or whatever today and so my grandparents have a pool so we went swimming all day after church. So that's how that happened. It was pretty great. So I think tomorrow we are putting down a new kitchen floor. That should be fun :P. Umm so I've noticed I'm using so in like every sentence....Anyways I think that's all for tonight. Byee.

Ok, it's seriously been like almost a year since I've posted. But I have been sooo caught up in school work it's like not even funny. And really, I don't even get to escape it. I get to read six books this summer. Which are:

Wooowzaa. I'm gonna have fun this summer :P. But I have very exciting news. I now have a 4.25 GPA. Hallelujah!! I passed all my classes with an A :D! Soo I leave for the beach with my youth group again to the exact same place we do every year on the 31st. :D I am soooooo dang excited! Although I think this trip will be very interesting because we have new youth directors and we have "new" 6th graders. So we will just have to see how that turns out. And remember that fetish with alcoholic drinks (virgin of course :P) Sarah and I have?
